We are only Human
And Oh, We're only Human.
Blinded by our pain,
as the passion began to wane;
all scalded by this sudden lick of flame.
The Brave Knights refuse to go insane,
while the weak has fallen down in shame.
And Who else will it taint,
this poison of crippling change?
Oh, how we loathe these chains.
For We are all lost,
at the mercy of an unknown force.
Mumbling those prayers once long forgotten,
begging the return of what Life has taken.
It's bittersweet, isn't it?
Our loss of complacence.
For Remember, We're only Human.

Musings... With a Pinch Of Salt...
It is not uncommon for me to talk to me,myself and I.
Alright, make it not quite so infrequent.
To much dramatized amusement of my travel companions,
on a very recent Bangkok trip.Though,Not like they don't know already :P
But hey, I think better that way.
You know, thinking aloud and all.
And let's not go into details on how thinking aloud
aids the true generation of coherent, complete and sometimes
brilliant thoughts.
Like, you don't know already.
Let's not digress further, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Without further ado,
( yes, I am born/blessed with the dramatic flair.)
My Question Of the Day is,' How much do you like/love yourself?'
And how do you measure the depth of this self-love?
I've been thinking about how We ( as in the most general sense of the word: mere mortals) tend to see ourselves, relative to how others see us.
Indeed, ' Perception is reality'.Sometimes, i wonder if we are inherently products of perception. Mostly perceptions of everyone else, but ourselves.
Which probably explains why some of us are suitably, if not intimately
acquainted with the whole concept of ' I don't know myself anymore ( if at all)'.
One of the things that i truly believe in is,
the continuous journey of self discovery along with
personal development. And this probably set the roots of
my fascination with self-improvement books.
I know there's this one big animal party of such books out there,
and the accompanying debates on the bullshit quotient of this genre.
And yes, I've picked up books that's not worth my time at all.
But more often than not, I often learn a thing or two about myself, or
if anything at all, the human psyche.
However, it is pointless if you are unable to read with an open mind.
And it is also pure stupidity that one hold on to this ridiculous blind faith that
the mere reading these self-help books will make you a success in life.
Well it will, if you're a dog. And perhaps the world will be a better place with a
dog that reads.
Hell, the truth is I just like myself a whole lot.
Just so you know, i like every single bit of me.
And I say this with not just a tinge of narcissism and pride.
Of course, I do care how people see me, and
what they think of me. Especially if they are those people i care about.
But at the end of the day,
when i know I cannot please everybody.
The least I can do is,
to make myself happy.
Now, that will be a life well lived.

It was one hell of a rollercoaster trip...
that left me relatively broke ( despite all best intentions),
almost stranded in the airport for the night,
renewed good old faith in Tuk-tuk drivers
( along with new found skepticism towards stereotype) ,
just several episodes of cardiac arrest,
and with a admittedly unfortunate
hopefully transient,temporary Coconut-Head hair cut.
How surreal it feels now, on the hindsight.
Well, one of the things that I've learned from this short getaway is that,
I should never underestimate my ability to bankrupt myself,
my love for all things pretty,
and the wonders of good company ;)
And oh, the Traffic jams in Bangkok.
Life's too short to waste,
stuck in the midst of impatient but stationary vehicles.
Especially when you have a flight to catch.

I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane...
Ah.
All right, I'm just going away for a short short holiday.
It's about time, if you ask me =)
Time to recharge, and have some fun.
And erm, hopefully not get too broke.
Well at least, blissfully broke.
But of course we all know I have more sense than that.
I am so going to miss my bu so so very much.
I know I'm just being silly and all,
But he's my special someone,
I'm missing him already.
Such a big cry baby.
i should grow up soon =P
Disclaimer:
Go ahead and shudder people. It's normal.
And sue me if you like.
I cannot promise to make your gut keep what you have eaten for dinner,
as such can only offer you the above words of comfort.
